From the Police Chief's Desk

I would like to start by introducing myself: My name is Eugene C. Mills, Jr. and for the past 30 years I have been a member of the law enforcement community. I started my career as a police dispatcher for the Laurel City Police Department in 1979. I left the city of Laurel in 1981 to work for the Prince George's County Police Department as a police dispatcher and in 1984, I was accepted into the Prince George's County Police Academy to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a police officer. It has been my honor and privilege to serve the citizens of this fine county for the last 30 years. As some of you may already know, on January 3, 2010, I was sworn in as the new Police Chief for the Town of Morningside by Mayor Karen Rooker. I look forward to the warmer months ahead, as this will afford me the opportunity to meet many, if not all, of the residents of Morningside.
